I’m an award-winning writer and visual storyteller. I often work from a portable keyboard while cycling or hiking long distances around the world.

I specialize in unique, emotionally-driven personal narrative about human experiences in nature. I’m committed to authentic stories that explore themes of hope, resilience, and transformation. My work is filtered through the lens of intersectional feminism.

I’m also an adventure journalist. I cover topics like biking, backpacking, outdoor gear, ecology, tiny houses, food, foraging, and all subjects related to nature and the outdoors.

Additionally, I’ve done copywriting, technical writing, annual reports, social media and websites, blogs, book reviews, personal interviews, athlete interviews, gear reviews, and research pieces. I’m an obsessive researcher and I love finding patterns in data.

I’ve written my life stories for Bicycling Magazine, Adventure Cyclist, The Adventure Cycling Association, The Radavist, Gear Junkie, CyclistaZine, The South Coast Almanac, Edible South Coast, The Tico Times, Permaculture Design Magazine, Communities Magazine, Kona Bikes, Outdoor Research, and more. My photos have been published hundreds of times online and in print, including three magazine covers.

Some of my stories:
